The Center for Educational Performance and Information collects the data from the Educational Entity Master. The report includes entities that are open on July 1, and those expected to open at some point during the selected school year.
Each entity has a “parent” in the EEM hierarchy, which is used to classify the entities for this report. For example, an LEA district is the parent of that district’s schools. An ISD might oversee a school or unique education provider directly, in which case the ISD and not an individual district would be the parent of that entity.
